Bengaluru: Ban on sale of junk food near schools likely soon in state

Bengaluru, Nov 14: The department of education has decided to ban sale of junk food near schools soon. Sale of gutka and liquor within a distance of 100 meters near schools is already banned. 

Some shops are said to be selling liquor and gutka in the school vicinities despite the ban. The state government has decided to ban sale of junk food as few shops in close proximity of school are selling liquor and gutka secretly in them along with junk food. 

Junk food adversely affects the health of children. The department of education has already formed a committee in this connection. Minister of primary and high school education, Suresh Kumar has held discussions with the Center in this regard.

    Please ban even in Mangalore where school/collegres exist... Students take tiffins /home made food along with you... Parents wake up half an hour early.. If you want to see your children healthy start acting now......

    Bann on junk food near schools is good.when such shops exist near schools
    ,automatically children are tend to not take food from home and pasture parents to give money to buy things.These junk food like chinese noodels,,or Pizza inclusive or burger etc are not healthy at all .children put on weight fast.I feel not only children but at present these things are attracting parents ,too.Thatswhy parents should also take care not to often go to these establishments .mostly cola is more loved by children.

    Good News.....Ban also rice, Wheat flour and Maida forever which are the killers. Ban Chicken farms, egg layer farms, pig farms and any farms who use steroids for growing animals. promote only natural grown meat. Is it possible for the Government...????? No and They will never do this, which will impact their own income....!!!!????
