Mangaluru, Dec 7: Carmel School celebrated its colourful Annual Day of classes LKG, I, II, III, V, VII and IX.
The president of the day, Sr Maria Kripa AC, chief guest, Rudolph Rodrigues and other dignitaries were welcomed by the symphonic rhythm of the school band. The opening chorus set the tone. The Carmel Chicks with rhythmic steps and tiny lads with tapping chairs enthralled the audience. Students of class I depicted the parental care, class II showcased the richness of Tulunadu’s culture and heritage, class III celebrated various festivals emphasising the theme ‘Unity in Diversity’, class V offered a challenge to the present youth with the theme ‘Youth with a Dream’, class VII displayed ‘One World One Power’, class IX portrayed the significance of ‘A Happy Family’. The tableau ‘Bharavaseya Hadiyali’, took the audience down memory lane offering us a few glimpses of pioneering days of the Apostolic Carmel in India. The youthful young lads paid tribute to Pulwama martyrs.
The 10 top scorers of class X of 2018-19 were felicitated together with their parents. Class toppers and those who excelled in sporting events were also honoured. The president in her address spoke about the vision and mission of Venerable Mother Veronica and the chief guest emphasised that no one has ever succeeded in life without a failure, so take them as a challenge.
The programme was compered by Ansaba and Shreya J. Sr Sarika, principal welcomed the gathering and Nisha rendered the vote of thanks.
