Bengaluru, Jan 7: Education minister Suresh Kumar has withdrawn the decision of holding public exams for students of seventh standard of the state of Karnataka.

Suresh Kumar held a press conference in the city on Tuesday, January 7 and said, "The education department has decided to general valuation examination instead of public examination. All are scared by the very name of public exams. Even the students got panicked. So the education department has changed its decision.

"In this general valuation examination no student will be failed. The intention of this examination is to know the level of grasping of the student and give training accordingly from eighth standard.

"Question paper for the general valuation examination will be prepared at the state level. Exams will be conducted by the teachers of the respective schools only. Valuation will be done by the teachers of the same district. No student will be failed in the examination. The aim is to instil the self-confidence in students to face examination."

I do not know what exactly is the reason in Karnataka. In some other states, they have stopped the proposed 4th std and existing 7th std examination, because half of the students at 4th std are not able to write their own names and also half of students of 7th std are not able to read the question papers.

this minister is acting like a joker. It seems he does not know how to handle the ministry.

few days ago he gave a statement that public exams will be there. Now he says not there.

Just like his boss jail bird kalla chaddi yeddy, who is totally confused with regards to the expansion of his cabinet. He got the majority now but is in trouble as the imported MLAs are creating trouble.
