Mangaluru, Feb 1: Tulu actor Pruthvi Ambar starrer Kannada movie 'Diya' is all set to release on February 7. The movie is directed by Ashoka K S and produced by Krishna Chaitanya.

Addressing media here on Friday, January 31, actor Pruthvi Ambar said, “I got this Kannada movie ‘Diya’ before I entered the Tulu film industry. It took six years to complete the movie due to the busy schedule of the cinematographer. We also took one and half years for the rehearsal of the scenes.

"Movie has a touch of European style in its making. This is a love story focused on the content without any song and fight. The movie moves with music and can emotionally draw audience into it.

"Deekshith Shetty, Kushi Ravi and Pavithra Lokesh are also playing pivotal roles in the film. “Diya’ will be a complete package and a family entertainer. We will release the movie at all multiplexes in Mangaluru. The movie has been shot in Mumbai, Hassan, Sakleshpura, Kaup, Karwar and Kundapur,” he said.
