Mangaluru: SAC batch of 85 BSc reunite after 35 years for fun-filled event

Mangaluru, Feb 18: A reunion is always fun no matter what the gathering is. Summer of St Aloysius College (SAC) 1985 BSc classmates united after 35 years to meet at a resort in Mangaluru.

Manohar Pinto welcomed the classmates who had come from as far as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bhadravati, Bengaluru and Chennai and also from neighbouring towns for the reunion. After a welcome drink the event kick-started with an individual briefing of their lives post the college till date, sharing personal stories, what they currently do, their families and their plans for the future. It was a useful exercise and full of fun and laughter as each one shared their trials and triumphs.



Jephry led the group in prayer followed by a minute of silence in honour of those classmates who had left to their heavenly abode.

Dr Sridhar Prasad one of the doctors in the group and Sudesh did the honours of cutting the cake to grace the occasion. After a group photograph, Francis conducted a game where-in all assembled had to remember the names of the faculty of both teaching and non-teaching staff. It was a time well spent on remembering the great personalities who shaped our future. Dr Sridhar Prasad turned out to be the winner who remembered 24 such personalities.

A sumptuous buffet only added to the energy. Post lunch saw the event continue with a game of housie-housie and a game of reflexes by Manohar.

Overall, it was a herculean effort to make the event a grand success. The men behind the success Manohar Pinto, Joy Varghese, Donald, Durgadas, Raghunandan and Sudhesh, were specially felicitated for their efforts.

The fun-filled event finally wound up with a promise to meet again next year.
