Sanjayanna... What you said is right.. But, please tell me if parents of both boy and girl are poor and if they have many children..... can they afford? Those who can't afford and those who don't want to waste money on extra unnecessary things, such marriages are good in my opinion..

When people spend lakhs and lakhs, even in crores, on weddings, the justification is either it is once in life time event, or it's our money we spend the way we like.
After all God gives health and talents to earn, and then allows us to claim, its my money.
If we can educate people spending the money we waste on wedding celebrations, the society would improve.
But now education threatens many as it wakes people up and liberates people from many social and economic bondage. If all are educated where will the criminal political candidates get votes from?
