Dubai, Nov 17: The 11th Dubai Air Show got off to a brisk start at the Dubai Airport Expo on Sunday, 15 November 2009. The 5 day event will exhibit some of the best in military and commercial aircrafts, cargo aircrafts, private executive jets, helicopters, and drones, including spare parts, maintenance, airport security, and engines. A total of 890 companies from 47 nations are participating in this mega event. Experts say that deals worth billions of dollars will be signed during these 5 days.
The highlight of the exhibition is the A380 Airbus, which is presently the largest commercial aircraft in the world. Noted among the new arrivals is the AVIC’s L-15 Falcon, an advanced trainer aircraft. The bright red M-346 Master, known as the newest advanced trainer has also made its mark. Latin Americas Embriar Legacy-600, the Falcon 2000LX, Challenger 604 were other names in the private jet sector. Showing the military combat aircraft were the Boeing AH-6i Helicopter, and the Rafale fighter jet from France. The US Air force also has a substantial show of strength at the show.
A splendid flying display from the big bird kept the spectators enthralled. Traffic on all sides of the Dubai airport came to a standstill as curious motorists slowed down their vehicles to have a glimpse of the breathtaking aircraft maneuvers of both combat and commercial crafts.
