Jaypee Group contributes Rs 4.22 crore for fight against COVID-19


New Delhi, Apr 8 (IANS): In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jaypee Group on Wednesday said that it has contributed Rs 4.22 crore through various channels to fight against the pandemic.

Out of the total contribution, the group has donated Rs 3 crore to the PM-CARES Fund.

"In its contribution to support the fight against COVID-19, and on the clarion call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the group has come forward and contributed Rs 3 crore in PM-CARES Fund, Rs 50 lakhs in Uttar Pradesh CM Care fund, Rs 51 lakhs in Madhya Pradesh CM care fund and Rs 21 lakhs in Uttrakhand CM Care fund," the company said in a statement.

It also said that the company has been instrumental in helping and supporting the last-mile workers in the vicinity of various project locations of the group by providing them and their families, with the essential items during these dire times.
