Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (SP)

Mysuru, Apr 23: On account of lockdown imposed since a month to stop spread of coronavirus, liquor sale has come to a standstill in the state. Therefore, there is tremendous demand for liquor everywhere. The owner of a wine shop tried to encash this opportunity by breaking open the lock of his own sine shop, but he has been arrested by the police.

This incident happened at Saligrama in K R Nagar, Mysuru. The police have arrested five persons including Raju, who owns Raju Wines, his son and wine shop cashier.

It is said that Raju and others had planned to illegally shift liquor from the wine store elsewhere and sell the same for exorbitant prices. Based on reliable information, K R Nagar police inspector, Raju, accompanied by police team, conducted surprise raid and arrested the accused. The police also took into possession three boxes of liquor which were being illegally shifted elsewhere from the wine shop.

Government should understand the sentiments of the people and lift the ban on liquor little by little. If they can open the grocery stores , they should think about opening wine shops too (only wine shops and not bar and restaurants) . Aged people who used to drink a little in the night in order to get a good sleep in the night are suffering and desperate. Liquor ban has also given rise to illegal brewing .

Correct your Tax Paid Education first. What is Puree paid on Tax? You mean Puree and Baaji or Rupee?

It is only a typing mistake, I think. Rupee and puree are having same alphabets, but in a different sequence.

    People,

What Pravin meant was Rupee....he had some 'Cashew Juice'....so accidentally he wrote Puree...
    Inconvenience of Daiji readers regretted.

He is relaxing now / 'Sura Shayye'....remember Bishmacharya's 'Shara Shayye'???...

    On behalf of Pravin, Udupi....

    Respectfully,
