I go agree with what MCC has done, I tell to my self aal izz well…but than this petty shops didn’t happen without anyone’s notice, officials have taken money for these poor vendors and it reached from bottom to top. Talking about law and rules, every one should be punished but when the law is unable to punish the rapist, murderer, and terrorist. Why we are behind a poor vendor. Aal izz not well

There is no question of poorer becoming poorer. These people are misusing the place and all sort of illegal activities are going on in this place. In addtion to that these people have turned the area dirty. Very good move by Mr. DC. At least now people can walk freely on the foot path.

A very good move by the authorities to keep Mangalore city clean. If this is not done now, Mangalore will soon become like slum areas in Mumbai. With the developments taking place in Mangalore, more and more people throng to this calm city where life was peaceful. The crime rate will increase if such measures are not taken.

Whether one is rich or poor, influential or ordinary, the rules are meant for all. If one does not follow the rules then they deserve the punishment otherwise it will be a jungle rule. Hawkers are totally on the footpath & the aged /children and general public have to use either the heavily trafficked road or uneven/gaping-holed gutter. If this unethical practice is unattended, they will turn into a parallel & illegal, free for all, footpath-shops selling inferior  goods at through away prices because they need not face rent, electricity bill, staff salary, MCC tax, customer grievances etc. Follow the rules and gain respect from both the govt. authorities as well as the public. There should be a strict law for those hide & seek vendors who disappear when the MCC authorities appears and they appear when the MCC authorities disappear with greased palms. Both the guilty officials and vendors should be punished if they are found them as partners in crime.
