Max Bupa appoints Krishnan Ramachandran as MD, CEO


New Delhi, May 5 (IANS): Max Bupa Health Insurance on Tuesday announced the appointment of Krishnan Ramachandran as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Ramachandran last served as the CEO of Apollo Munich Health Insurance. Prior to Apollo Munich, he served in various capacities at Practice Head Healthcare and Experience Manager at Deloitte Consulting, across India and New York.

As MD and CEO of Max Bupa, Ramachandran will be responsible for driving the company's next phase of growth.

"I am confident that under his able leadership and support of our shareholders True North and Bupa, we will realise our goal of becoming a highly customer-centric, leading retail player in the health insurance market," CB Bhave, Chairman, Max Bupa Board said on the appointment of Ramachandran.

An industry veteran, Ramachandran brings with him over 23 years of extensive experience across health insurance, healthcare & life sciences industry.

"Health insurance continues to be the fastest growing segment in the non-life insurance industry and is set for quantum growth. It provides huge opportunity to companies like Max Bupa to grow exponentially and create a market leading position," Ramachandran said.
