Doctors are humans... they are under immense stress, due to Covid19 pandemic, raging across our nation and the entire world... Most practitioners have shutdown their private clinics, out of fear of getting infected... worse, the recent horrible episodes of abuse, assaults, have added to their insecurities !!!!

Most of the Government hospitals are assigning Corona duty to hapless temporary contract doctors or those one posted for one year mandatory rural service. Most of the permanent staff are scared to cross the compound wall of the designated covid health facility for the fear of contracting deadly virus. Most of them are managing private clinics and hospital and monthly protection fee goes to the concerned DHO and has his blessings for this dereliction. Critical work like taking nasal and pharyngeal swabs, intubation and any other intervention with excessive exposure to aerosol is left to junior contract staff. Let our Health Minister enforce discipline to his folk first before encroaching to private grasslands.....!

Almost all hospitals are turning away sick patients with only interns present. Can only pray that you don't fall ill.

Ministers only seem to be issuing threats and strict action. If only they focus on their jobs it would be a lot nicer.
