Mangalore: Annual Feast at St Antony’s Jacobite Syrian Church Held

Mangalore, Feb 1:
It was a dual celebration at St Antony’s Jacobite Syrian Church, Marnamikatte here on Sunday January 31 with the concurrence of second stage of consecration and annual feast.
 
Baselios Thomas I Catholicos of the East, Ernakulam, Kerala led the ceremony of consecration, by celebrating Holy Mass along with five Bishops, after the prayer service. He also honoured the architect and building contractor of St Antony’s Jacobite Syrian Church.
 


Church vicar Fr Sunny John, secretary A C Jayaraj, joint secretary Thomas A and treasurer Saliba Mathew were also honoured for co-ordinating the building works.
 
A Eucharistic procession was also held from the church to Marnamikatte Circle on the occasion.
 
Nearly 5,000 devotees from across the state and neighbouring Kerala attended the ceremony.
