Mangaluru: St Agnes College (Autonomous) hosts Faculty Development Programme

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 5: A two-day 'Faculty Development Programme' on 'Online Teaching Methodology' was organized on June 1 and 2 from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm by St Agnes College (Autonomous), here, for the Mentee Colleges under the UGC Paramarsh Scheme. The resource persons were Seemanthini, Sr Gloria and Jonita Rasquinha.

17 members of Padua College of Commerce and Management and Government First Grade College Mudipu attended the programme.

The participants were introduced to ‘Google Classroom’ and the usage of various features of G suite. They were trained to upload study material, ask questions and give assignments through their G mail accounts. They were also given training on how to capture, record and upload videos using Google classroom. The training also included creating a class group and conducting classes through Google meet, use of Google forms and to automatically generate certificates for webinars.

The two-day training programme was truly informative and beneficial to everyone as most of them were not aware of how certain features work online, so it gave them a practical exposure on how online classes can be taken up in the future.
