Puttur, Feb 3:
A student of Canara Engineering College in Benjanapadav near Bantwal was found murdered near Kabaka under Puttur town police station limits on Wednesday February 3.
 
The deceased has been identified as Mohak Kumar, resident of Vittal and relative of Jagannath Salian, vice-president of Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat.
 
The body was found in a hilly area near Kabaka, close to the BSNL office. The local residents, who found the body, informed the police. The reason for the murder is not known, informed police.
 
Puttur town police confirmed that it is a murder, wherein face of the deceased has been crushed using a stone and then dumped at a remote place. The murder took place elsewhere.
 
Dog squad was summoned to the spot. Puttur town police has begun investigation by registering the case.

    does any one know the reason for this murder and how it happend? I was told that couple of other students were also murdered in Puttur in a brutal manner. This is quite shocking. Please continue this post.
