Mangalore, Feb 6:
A scheme initiated by Youth Wing of Jamaat-e- Islami Hind district committee to distribute ration for 100 poor families every month expending Rs 1,000 each in district, was inaugurated at the Town hall here on Saturday February 6.

The scheme was inaugurated by MLA U T Khader at the programme organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind with the theme, for hunger free society. U T Khader said that providing food for the poor is like service to the country. The price rise, which has hit the country rendered poor struggle for essential items. The government should make necessary arrangements to lower the prices by controlling black market and market mafia, he added.

Though food is very important for a person to be alive, and though poverty always resembles shortage of food, yet in reality food is not as important as financial help needed for medical purposes. Though not much thought is given to this area, because it is taken for granted, Govt hospitals give medicare free. But there are lot of people suffering from cancer, where proper treatment is expensive and also proper information about the treatment is lacking. Many die a cruel death, which could be saved if similar organisations will come up to take care of the terminally sick

A heartwarming scheme from Jamaat Islami.I have been watching the activities of Youth Wing of Jamat Islami for the past several years and they constantly serving the needy of community with out much publicity.Ration service scheme is quite appropriate and would be considred a very positive step and Islam lays stress on the believers to care for the needy, the orphans and unfortunate members of the society. It is very nice to see as the new generation of Social workers takes over the community organizations, the charity distribution had changed gradually and the new generation feels with poorest of poorest of the community .

They are not easily convienced about the utlity of financing the out dated projects. As the trend changes,Islamic organizations need to change with the time, they must improve their methodology and effciency as the new generation donors demand result and transparency. I strongly recommend and request all Community members from Business class to the intelligensia should sponser as much as poor Families who deprived even their basic needs which they duly deserve.

Hasivu Mukhtha Samajadedege.... This social service is also a part of islam. The JIH's socialwork or service is always including all the neediest people in society,as per prophet's (s.a)teachings,so each and every people in our society, especially muslim cammunity should understand this fact and should co-operate with Jamath's activities,by neglecting or sacrificing their selfistness.

Good, positive and very humanitarian work by JIH. Allah says in Quran, Oh you faithfuls, spend (from your legal eranings) o n your parents, relations, orphans, poor, neighbours and persons next to you". No where Allah said spend only on muslims. Its very necessary that abiding and practicing muslim must take care of the poor and neighbours irresepctive of his faith. This act is one of the many ways of restoring lost glory and warding off of the misconceptions spread by fundamentalist anti Islam lobby. God is impartial in sending rain, moon light or sun light.

He treats everyone with equality. When the Creator is very much impartial, who are we (creations) to over rule his law and discriminate people on the basis of faiths. Let the hands reach out to the poor. Feed them and clothe them. Let there be masjids, churches, temples, mandirs, gurudwaras side by side. Let the river of love continue to flow and over flow. Let the message of peace spread like the light that illuminates the dark room. Let the heart blend by these types of noble deeds. Ishwar, Allah, Khuda, God all are the same and one and the only One. Its our belief and perception of the understanding of our religion makes us to hate eah other. The mullahs, priests or swamijis or poojaries have failed to deliver the true messages of religion. Every one has used religion as a tool of convenience to achieve selfish goals. The end results are suspicions, blood sheds, attacks on places of worships. Falsehood will perish.

An Organisation, whether religious or not, should work for the basic requirement of the human being, may be his faith is X, Y or Z. The criteria should be that he is from a poor family & has no other means to meet the end. Communalism & Regionalism will destroy us.
