Mangaluru, Sep 21: A twitter campaign has been launched to bring pressure on the MPs to raise the issue of getting Tulu language included the eighth schedule of the Constitution. The campaigners have also threatened the people's representatives that they will take a suitable political stand if the leaders fail to actively pursue this issue.
A person identified as Mahi Mulky, who has tagged MPs Nalin Kumar Kateel and Shobha Karandlaje, has questioned them when will they speak in the parliament, demanding the said status to Tulu language. He also asked the MPs not to limit their action to their speeches, but to serve notice to the Lok Sabha speaker.
"If you do not speak, we will take a political stand that we deem fit. In support of the demand," he stated. He also has tagged a video clip of an MP who has raised his voice in favour of conferring recognition to the Bhojpuri language.
With this, another effort has been launched to get Tulu language the rightful recognition of being listed in the eighth schedule of the constitution. The campaign wants the parliamentarians to show their willpower to work for Tulu language.
