Mangalore: Erupted, Art Exhibition by Sachin Upadhye Inaugurated

Dr Derick Lobo, former health advisor of United Nations inaugurated ‘Erupted’, an art exhibition by Sachin Upadhye of Belgaum at Orchid art gallery, here on Saturday April 10.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Lobo said that paintings depict the proficiency of an artist and artists like Sachin will be an inspiration to lot youth interested in painting. “India can have a bright future through the promotion of talent in the field of art, music, handicrafts and so on”, he added. 

Sachin Upadhye basically lives and works in Belgaum. He got the opportunity to exhibit his abstract paintings for the first time in the city.

His paintings display freely used colour palette in a range of different hues. Be it an old architectural marvel or a barren old tree stems, the colours used in the painting impart a total freshness to the scene. So are his abstract paintings an expression of fabulous art work having forceful strokes, confident lines, thoughtful yet impressive colour combinations.
 
Promoter of Orchid art Gallery, William Pais welcomed the gathering. Veteran artist Ganesh Somayaji was present.
 
The exhibition will be open till Tuesday April 13 at the gallery which is in second floor of Hemavathy Building, Balmatta.
