Insecticides India's Q2 net profit falls 15%


New Delhi, Nov 9 (IANS): Insecticides (India) Ltd has reported a 15.17 per cent fall in its net profit for the July-September quarter at Rs 41.40 crore.

During the same period last fiscal, the company had reported a net profit of Rs 48.80 crore.

The company recorded a revenue from operations of Rs 456 crores in Q2FY21, representing a decline of 9.4 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

Managing Director Rajesh Agarwal said: "Second quarter of the fiscal year had a varied experience for the agriculture and agrochemicals sector, the quarter was marked with normal monsoon on an average, resulting in adequate soil moisture and improving agricultural activity on one hand, but uneven and excess rainfall in certain parts of India."

"This has also led to lower pest infestation and reduced frequency of sprays during the quarter," he said.
