Sydney, May 21 (IANS): The arrest warrant issued against singer-actress Lindsay Lohan for missing her court hearing has been dropped.
Steve Whitmore, a Sheriff's Department spokesman, said the arrest warrant was recalled after Lohan's representatives posted 10 percent of the $100,000 bond, reports smh.com.au.
The 23-year-old actress was due in court for a progress report on her probation stemming from two arrests in 2007. Her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, said Lohan's passport was stolen while she was at the Cannes Film International Festival and was unable to return to Los Angeles in time for the hearing.
But the judge rejected the reason and issued an arrest warrant.
