Bhaumik Sampat makes digital debut with Gujarati web series

Mumbai, Dec 12 (IANS): Actor Bhaumik Sampat has made his debut in the digital world with the Gujarati web series, Tikkhi Mitthi Life.

"I am coming back on the screen after six years. The reason why I was away from work is during the shoot of my last film, I had a severe back injury. I had to take a two-year long break. I finished a few projects afterwards and those, too, shall release soon," said Bhaumik, whose Bollywood stint has included films like Sadda Adda and Samrat & Co.

The actor described his new web series as a complete family entertainer.

"It is based on the sweet and spicy relationship of a father and son. The father's role is being played by Muni Jha. He is a disciplined man in the series. He is constantly unhappy with his son Amey, played by me. Amey is opposite of his father. He does not like to take life very seriously. He loves music and wants to pursue it as a profession," he said.

"Jhinal Belani is playing my friend's role. This is a very special project, and it is very close to my heart because Jhinal and I are also producers of the series. Jhinal has also worked on the screenplay and dialogues of the project," added Bhaumik, who has also worked in the TV show Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan.

Tikkhi Mitthi Life is available on Cityshor.tv.
