Bengaluru, Dec 18: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa met and felicitated a 14-year-old boy Yathaarth Murthy, who has earned laurels by singing the national anthems of over 250 countries and getting his name recorded in the Limca Book of Records not once but twice.

The normally busy Yediyurappa, who is known as a workaholic immersing himself in administration or political developments, took time off from his busy schedule and felicitated the young Bengaluru achiever. Yatharth Murthy is able to play anthems of many countries on keyboard too.

"This boy has earned performed rare feats by singing the national anthems of almost all the countries of the world and spread the message of peace, brotherhood and harmony,’’ lauded the Chief Minister.

Yatharth Murthy, a student of Vidyashilp Academy of Bengaluru, first entered the Limca Book of Records in the year 2017 for being able to sing the maximum number of national anthems. At that time, he knew over 112 national anthems, including 80 in non-English languages and got the honour again. The two-time winner of Limca Book of Records is keen on getting his name in the Guinness Book of Records.

Whats the point? Could have spent time doing more useful things..who cares about someone memorizing national anthems. Parents need to focus children's attention on more tangible things.
