I was in India for few months and was amazed to see the vehicles driven towards the on coming traffic and driver yelling at the driver who has the right of way. 'Right of way' ..... ?? Many are unaware.... 99% of the drivers don't know the meaning of the markings on the roads..... I doubt even the members of traffic department know about them.... Unless the department starts giving heavy fines to these drivers.... nothing will change.... specially to the truck drivers who use the fast lanes... should be fined heavily...

Just take a look at the Bangalore Hassan highway. Wherever there are small towns on the way, flyovers are built. NH 66 needs such flyovers at many places. But our incompetent MP s are more busy with their party activities and Hindu Muslim issues. Each flyover needs a decade or more to get completed. We fools continue to vote for the same useless people.

The NH 66 is designed in most unscientific manner. There is no proper provision into side road nor rightly designed bi-lanes. Worst are Padubidri, Mulky, Katapady, Udupi and so on...! Look at entry into Udupi city...sharp edges bridges...why not make it curved for smooth entry? Even then work is never finished for years! We produce some of the best engineers in coastal colleges and they do fantastic job abroad....locally we are cursed....they need approvals and approval for several years for any job! Look at our any railway underpass....shapeless and filled with water during monsoon and pot holes other times!
