Mangalore: First Postal Cover of Milagres Church Marks Centenary Jubilee

Mangalore, Jun 2: Archbishop Rt Dr Vincent Concesso of New Delhi diocese felicitated Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy award recipient litterateur M P Rodrigues, Richard Castelino, director, Konkani movie ‘Kazaar’, movie producer Frank Fernandes, Fr Gerald Rego, and Sr Joan, during a function held at Milagres parish ground recently.

The first postal cover of Milagres Church was also released to mark the centenary jubilee celebration of the parish by postal authorities. 















































T G Naik, senior superintendent of post offices, Mangalore division, was the guest of honour.

Milagres parish priest Fr Walter D’Mello, centenary celebration committee president Marcel Monteiro, parish council vice-president Alwyn Rosario, and secretary Gerald Pinto were present on the dais.

‘Kazaar’ was screened after the stage programme and viewed by a large number of parishioners on the occasion.
