Mangalore: Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust Celebrates Founder’s Day

Mangalore, Jun 12: Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust Colleges celebrated Founder’s Day in the college auditorium on Saturday June 12.

Professor B Surendra Rao, former chairman of department of history and retired history professor was the chief guest for the occasion.  Speaking on the occasion, Rao spoke about his association with M V Trust and lauded their achievements.

Dignitaries who graced the occasion included Dr M R Shetty, the founder secretary of Dr M V Shetty Trust Colleges, Dr Hima Urmila Shetty, the trustee, Jayaram Hegde, administrative officer and former registrar of Mangalore University, Chandrashekar Shetty, administrative officer- academics, and the former registrar evaluation of Mangalore University.

Speaking about the blood bank, Dr M R Shetty urged people to come forward freely to donate blood. The founder’s day was marked by conducting a blood donation camp in which as many as 80 points of blood were collected.

Professor B V Kathyayani, principal, College of Nursing welcomed the gathering.
