BJP Considering Uma Bharti's Return

New Delhi, Jul 3 (IANS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is considering the return of former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti to its fold, top level party sources have indicated.

They said the process of her return was under way but no final decision has been taken. "The process is on," the sources said.

Uma Bharati's return is being opposed by a section of party leadership in Madhya Pradesh but the party has kept its options open.

State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has already apprised the leadership of his views on the issue.

Uma Bharati had last month accompanied senior party leader L.K. Advani on a special plane to attend Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh's father's 13th day rites.

After her expulsion from the BJP, Uma Bharti had floated her own party Bharatiya Janshakti Party but she resigned from it earlier this year. She was expelled from the BJP in 2005.

This love-hate-love-hate relationship exposes the opportunist nature of our Pseudo-Hindutva politicians. BJP is exploiting Sadhvi for their own gain. The moment they will come to power, they will once again show her the exit door.

BJP is not going to benifit by return of Uma Bharati to the party. The days are over the crowd pulling by making inflamatory speeches and turning them into votes.Time is changing and BJP being the second largest poliitical party has to take a serious note on the fact that youth votes in the next general election will be a dominating factor.Quality based educated youths will be attracted to poliitics and capturing power at the centre after next election will render a formidable task.Rahul Gandhi's ongoing efforts in this direction is worth emulating.
