Spike in corona cases in K'taka including DK, Udupi - Health minister emphasizes on extra precaution

Bengaluru, Mar 6: The recent spike in coronavirus cases across the state has created an environment of fear. Speaking on the matter, Karnataka minister Dr Sudhakar has urged people to exercise extreme caution.

"The cases of coronavirus infections are increasing in the state including in Bengaluru and Dakshina Kannada. People must practice extra precautions for the next two months to curb the rate of infections. It is been observed that precautionary measures are being neglected by everyone,” the minister said.

“Over 400 cases per day are being reported in Bengaluru alone. 12 clusters have been identified in the city and 40,000 corona tests have been conducted,” he added.

Dr Sudhakar urged people to refrain from gathering in groups for the next two months. He emphasized practising increased caution in Bengaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Udupi, Coorg, Belagavi and Tumkur districts.
