Kasargod: Father kills self, feeds poison to kids - Reason unknown

Kasargod, Mar 17: Three people of a family including two children were found dead in Chervathur here on Wednesday, March 17.

The deceased have been identified as Roopesh (37) an auto driver in Pilicode Madivai, and his children Vaidehi (10) and Shivanand (6).

Their bodies were found in the room of a house under construction.

The children are said to have been fed poison. It is suspected that after feeding poison to his children, Roopesh committed suicide.

Roopesh was married to Savitha from Kanhangad. However, they were not living under one roof following a family dispute. But, the kids were living with Roopesh.

Police from Chandera police station have registered a case and an investigation is underway.

    Nobody knows the reason so better not to comment on that... just for everyone's information depression is the medical condition and its better to get treated like other diseases. And counselling is the best to get started. Many people don't express it with others... and lack of knowledge about the depression also the issue that the society is facing... Need to educate the society for the same. very sad to see tragedy like this happens around us. And obviously suicide is not the solution.

    Rita, Many people who have lost their jobs or doing casual work are into severe depression because of prolonged financial crunch, many people are already in debt; unlike Germany, here there's no help from govt; in which condition, there's no way but to call it a day!

    Jossey S.Saldanha,mumbai,Jossey saheb ,inflation and joblessness is not only him but lot of people are suffering from it.But all these peole dont commit suicide but never feed poison to children.He as father should have protected them since they are innocent whatever the cause is.Killing them as a weapon used on his seprate living wife?or against some dispute.?My heart bleeds when one hears this.He could have atleast give them in a Ashram if he wanted to die or handover to childless family.There were many ways.He is a killer .May the souls of these innocent hearts rest with angels.
