Old video of CM Yediyurappa announcing Covid-19 restrictions for 1 week goes viral

Bengaluru, Mar 17: An old video clip with the logo of a private news channel in which the Karnataka chief minister B S Yediyurappa can be heard announcing restrictions to curb the rise in Covid-19 is going viral on social media. However, the video is not recent but is of a recording that took place back in March 2020.

The video begins with CM Yediyurappa announcing at a press meet that for a period of one-week, malls, cinema theatres, pubs and nightclubs, exhibitions, summer camps, swimming pools, sports events, marriage, conferences, parties will be banned throughout the state.

The viral video also shows the then state health minister B Sriramulu being a part of the conference. The fact that Sriramulu is no longer the state health minister is proof that the video was recorded last year.

In the video, Yediyurappa also states that a man from Kalaburagi has died due to the Covid infection and that he had come in contact with 46 people and with over 36 people coming in direct contact with him. This information signifies the initial days of the infections being reported in the state.

    At this crucial time it is expedient that stricter rules are imposed on people to ensure that they are safe from the prevailing Covid-19 danger. In foreign countries like U.K. and U.S.A. much stricter rules are imposed and meetings of people are not permitted. Even socially people do not go to each others residences.

    First of all , we should self disciplined, no need of lock down and curfew, take care yourself with safety , do not neglect advise,stop blaming others- we have already learned during first wave, make understand to cancel the religious celebration specially in public and on roads,Authorities should not trouble poor people in the name of KANOON and stand blind towards DAMAKA celebration by politicians' and influenced people,God wont not get angry if we don't celebrate his festivals instated he will happy nd Bless you more . As long as we don't recognize our own sins nature will not stop reacting.
