Tourist Minister Yogeshwar congrats on your achievements. If our selected tourist spots are really given scenic importance and are kept safe from hooligans and clean atmosphere it is surely possible that our Mangaluru surrounded by historical spots will be noteworthy for any tourists.

In Mangalore a brother can not have a Ice Cream with his sister at parlour ,same way many cases young couples have to prove that they are real married couple otherwise they got a low from aided marle police many times, as long as moral police has a free hand it is not possible for Mangalore to become a heaven for tourist as he thinks.

Whatever arrangements and promotions for attracting foreign tourists the success rate would not be as per speculation as long as there are some organization whose members still live in primitive mindset entertain anti western attitude. Also, where they can avail Beef burgers and beef products, pork no problem. We may need special security to protect foreign tourists and also to chase BD's & MP's

Well, I would highlight only one point. Its a good move to promote tourism, as long as the tourists follow rules and keep our city clean. Those who have been to Goa lately would know what the tourists and migrants have done to Goa. Sad state of affairs people are drinking and throwing their garabage on the beaches and there are slum dwellers every where.

To achieve a good flow of tourists, the govt has to take franchise from reputed travel agents such as Thomas Cook or Cox & Kings. The franchisee should have a good self explanatory website and they should advertise regularly in papers about the tourist attractions. The franchisee should have good tourist guides knowing local, English and Hindi languages. Thomas Cook and other agents have many tourists who travel to Kerala, same thing can be achieved if the franchisee is managed by an aggressive marketing executive. Another main drawback for Mangalore is, as all know the religious fundamentalism. The person managing the affairs should be able to attract the people and in the same time should be able to see that the culture and religious sentiments are not affected. If properly managed, Mangalore can be a heaven for tourists.

You can't impose your culture on tourist. Give behavioural training on humanity.
