Mangaluru: DC carries out surprise raid - Penalises violators of Covid-19 guidelines

Mangaluru, Mar 22: The Dakshina district administration and the local police carried out a surprise raid at petrol bunks, malls, jewellery shops, private buses and public places etc. The intention behind the raid was to single out the violators of health norms, prominently people who were not wearing face masks.

The police personnel have taken into custody a petrol bunk staff who refused to wear masks.

The surprise raid was held under the leadership of deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra and DCP Hariram Shankar. The deputy commissioner also took to task the people who were seen without masks.

As an outcome of the raid, the buses that violated the Covid guidelines were seized. Further, three shops in the City Centre mall were shut down for violating health norms.

Buy y dont the same DC doesn't give surprise visit to all religious places or political or religious rally?🙄 Y to carry double standards for ordinary people and VIP people.     In many popular restaurants, few careless waiters and cleaners are not wearing face mask. If they get contacted from COVID-19 positive patients, they will unknowingly spread the deadly COVID-19 to the unaware customers. Cancel the licence of such few restaurants.

    9 out of 10 people on the street are not wearing masks. It is very likely that even the 10th person who is wearing the mask will not be wearing it properly. Either the nose will not be covered or the mask will be just helping the person to keep his/ her chin up.

    DC should have penalized all those crossed the Covid-19 guidelines right from the beginning. It is never too late as we are heading for the second wave. But all have to be ready taking the maximum precautions and strictly follow the protocols issued by the DC and all health officials.

    Many celebrities who promoted wearing of masks, many CMs and ministers also our own DC and Mun.Commissioner have tested positive.They were wearing best quality masks, and we're wearing them properly. This proves that masks do not prevent a healthy person testing positive.QED. Many including a doctor couple tested positive after 2 doses and 20 days after the second jab.After vaccination why is mask compulsory? I need not give answers that are obvious......

    Sir please visit government workplaces... Nobody is wearing masks including officials and also no sanitizers in place.... No physical distance maintained.... And so on... Instead of raiding private places, start from own home (goverment offices).
