Media Release

Mangaluru, Mar 23: Altogether 113 NSS volunteers and 22 NCC Cadets of St Agnes College (Autonomous) participated in the COVID-19 awareness campaign on Tuesday, March 23.

Wearing masks, gloves and following the norms of social distancing, students paid a visit to over a dozen local eateries, hotels, auto-drivers, shops, commercial establishments and public places. The students interacted with the people and reminded them of the importance of wearing masks, the use of sanitisers, gloves and taking vaccines whenever their turn comes.

Sr Roopa AC, vice principal of St Agnes College (Autonomous) inaugurated the campaign. She lauded the student’s initiative on COVID-19 awareness drive. “It is everyone’s duty to cooperate and follow the guideline issued by the health authorities on COVID-19. We need to understand that the threat from the virus is still prevalent and we must maintain all the necessary cautions,” she said. "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much so let's join and create an awareness,” she added.

Faculty members Vineetha N T, Derik Dias, Meera Devi, NSS officers and Lt Gayathri ANO, NCC were present during the campaign.
