Mangaluru, Apr 4: Abhilash Kshatriya, MD of Abhijnya Education Private Limited released an aptitude book titled 'Prajakta' on Sunday, April 4 at Ocean Pearl, Mangaluru.

Speaking on the occasion Veena Rao, founder-publisher, and editor-in-chief of NRI Pulse News Publication and author of 'Purple Lotus' said, "Being an author I know how much time, effort, commitment, and hard work is required to release a book. Writing a book is like bringing a baby out into the world."

Rao was addressing the gathering virtually during the launch of the aptitude book 'Prajakta-Launch of Hybrid Learning Solution (online+offline classes) powered by Klass studio. In the programme organised by Abhijnya Education Private Limited academic achievers who secured ranks in MAT exams were also felicitated.

Rao said that she was unable to attend the programme due to the pandemic. However, the world was brought together virtually. "I had extreme anxiety when it came to maths, interestingly I got the opportunity to launch an aptitude book on maths. I had scored 65 marks out of 100 in the 10th board exam after that my parents arranged for a private tutor. During those days, if I would have had access to an institution like Abhijnya, I would have scored well in maths," she said.

"We need Maths in every field and sphere of life. There are people who think that maths is a complex subject. We hear people saying that maths is not everyone's cup of tea. So I believe that this book and the work that Abhilash is doing is phenomenal. He is helping students not only to build their math skills but also to feel more confident and I am sure that this confidence will take them ahead in life," Rao added.

Lauding Abhilash she said that the world belongs to those who think out of the box. "The three mantras for success are innovation, hard work and perseverance. One should remember that there are no shortcuts for success," she said.

She shared her experience in building a newspaper firm, how she faced hurdles during the recession in 2008 and how she came out of it.

Speaking on the occasion Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, principal St Aloysius College said, "Abhilash is a passionate teacher who makes the difference. A teacher who is passionate and has a strong dream can make life easier."

He also shared the experience of how he liked science after Class 5 because of a good teacher. "My trajectory changed and pursued further studies in science. People like Abhilash have such aptitude to make difference in the lives of others. He is a man with a vision. If people lose their vision, I don't think that they can do anything in their life. Abhilash had already made a difference by training several students and coming out with a wonderful book like this," he added.

Stating that it has become very difficult to find out a good teacher these days. He said the teacher should dispel the darkness of a student and keep them engaged. "Abhilash sacrificed all his dreams, just to see that his students go up the ladder," he said.

Managing director and editor-in-chief of Daijiworld Media, Walter Nandalike recalling his school days said, "I congratulate Abhilash for this initiative and achievement. I met him a few weeks back and when I interacted with him I realised that he is passionate about his work and he is a man of commitment, innovation, ideas. He has the ability to beat a firm like BYJU'S, even if does not beat he will come close to do so. This is a good concept and has a huge scope not only in Mangaluru or in the state but also across India."

Vivek Alva, trustee of Alva's Education Foundation said, "Sparkle on the face of Abhilash's father is something beyond happiness. I see a proud father over here. This is the best gift that his son can present to him. The entire family is supporting this, it is really a great honour. There are different colleges, but Abhilash is beyond the boundary and reached out to various colleges outside the city and district. Usually, trainers are associated with one college but Abhilash is associated with colleges across borders. There many experts in the field of aptitude. Usually, trainers train the students and that is about it, but Abhilash is result-oriented."

Rashim Bhandary, dean, placement and training, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management said, "During the campus placements, we find bright talents, losing out the opportunity, because they did not pass the aptitude test. Abhilash has given a fascinating name for the book and has helped bridge the gap between aptitude and a successful career."

"Every student can have a great career but what is stopping them is the aptitude test. Aptitude is nothing but it is maths of Class 8, 9, and 10. This book will definitely help the students. People in South Canara are very bright and every company wants to hire them. However, just because we are not able to clear aptitude we are losing opportunities. We are great in language, communication, technical aspects and we are great in attitude but we get fall short when it comes to aptitude," she said.

At the event, Riya, Payal, Flavia, Junima, Nikitha Bhandarkar, Leona, Deeksha, Tanvi, Manvi and Rohith were felicitated for scoring good marks in MAT (Management Aptitude Test).

Dr Kishor Kumar, Vishwas Kumar Das, Subraya Nayak, Manoj Louis Ambrose, CA Sanjith, Shashank Shetty, Partha, Deepali Shenoy, professor, Udayakumar S, Saroja, Ashok Kumar, Marlin and others were honoured during the occasion.
