Mysuru, May 3: The city police have registered a case against the family members and friends of a person who died of coronavirus infection. They have been accused of keeping the body for enabling people to pay their last respects, in violation of law.
The mortal remains of a person who died of infection within the limits of Narasimharaja police station were kept in Karunalaya church for public view. The police who went there after getting information, registered cases under National Disaster Management Act and Infectious Diseases Control and Prevention Act, said city police commissioner, Dr Chandragupta.
