Byndoor: District, state to be corona free within few days – Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary

Byndoor, Jun 2: “When we see the efforts put in by the task forces of gram panchayats in controlling the Covid pandemic, there is no doubt that the twin districts and state of Karnataka will be free of corona within few days," said Kota Srinivas Poojary, minister for Muzarai and backward community welfare.

Poojary was speaking after holding discussions with regards to covid control at the town panchayat, here.

Poojary further said, “The fundamental force that is required to eradicate the Covid pandemic is the village level task force. I am confident that the coronavirus pandemic will come under control. Discussion is already held in this regard with city administration and gram panchayat task forces.

“Village level task force is working as a team to control the Covid pandemic. In the midst of this, we have received demands from Asha Workers and Anganwadi workers. The issues will be resolved by the government.”

Byndoor tahsildar Shobhalaxmi, chief officer of town panchayat Naveen, inspector Santhosh Kaykini, medical officers Dr Nandini, Dr Sahana, former president of taluk panchayat Mahendra Poojary, Babu Shetty, Sadashiva Paduvari and Sadananda Uppinakudru were present.

Later, the minister paid a visit to gram panchayats of Navunda, Maravanthe and Nada.
