Udupi, Jun 10: "Take appropriate measures to provide vaccines to the public without any confusion," said district in-charge secretary Dr MT Reju.

He was speaking during the Covid review meeting in the district at the DC office hall here on Thursday, June 10.

"Provide vaccines to frontline workers and vulnerable people identified by the state and union governments on priority. Give information about vaccination in advance. Avoid crowding of people in the vaccination centre. The nodal officers appointed for the vaccination should ensure that there is no confusion at these centres, he told.

"After seal down ensure that the patients who are in quarantine get essential commodities for their daily needs. Set up a micro-containment zone where a high number of cases are reported. Identify the positive cases and trace the ones who spread the infection," he added.

"All officials should make an effort to bring down the Covid positivity rate to 5% within one week in the district. Take measures to contain other diseases during monsoons and create awareness among the public," Reju said.
