Bengaluru, Jul 12: "Poor people and backward classes in all the communities need to get the benefit of reservations. For achieving this, there is a need to increase the reservation quota," felt union minister of state for social justice and empowerment, Ramdas Athawale. .

He was speaking about the draft bill proposed by Uttar Pradesh state to regulate population. "The population of Muslims has risen all of a sudden. As Muslims practice polygamy they have more number of children. In order to regulate spiralling population, control measures are needed. Therefore, rules are being implemented to bring down the rate of increase of Muslims," he said.

Athawale, who mentioned about the maximum of 50 percent reservation quota prescribed by the Supreme Court explained that to see that exploited and downtrodden communities to get justice, there is no other way but to increase reservations. He said that this issue was discussed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Wether the resources are in Ambani's hand , Adivasis hand or it remains untapped beneath the sea or Land, the resources of this world are limited. The denominator which is the human population when increased the common sense says it will bring down the per capita wealth. Its not jut wealth. what about the physical space, is it not coming down if the population increases?,. Do you have the capacity to increase one square inch of this planet?. India is already overpopulated. in our cities large number of people are living in small concrete structures without privacy, sunlight or enough verandah. They live with pollution. It is not only the the economic numbers that matter. pollution , global warming, ground water, etc are very very important.

Mr Modi the PM of this country and Mr Yogi the CM of the most populous state in the Country are neither Brahmins nor Banias. infract it is Rahul Gandhi who is claiming to be a Brahmin. We know the intent to get something out of past fault lines in Hinduism. Nobody has forced the Adivasis, the scheduled castes or the Backwards to vote BJP. If they were affected by BJP as a Brahmin or Bania party, they would not have voted BJP.

With our mass population, you can see Indians every corner of the planet whether in high or low profile. If you are obsessed with child making like your boss, it's your personal problem and do not bring politics in that too. Pls note that making "CHILD" is personal capacity of each human being and do not mix with religion or caste based. God gave some one high capacity and some one less. So totally it's personal choice whether u need 2 or 10. So far I know that now a days the new generation Muslims having either 2 or 3 children only (correct me if am wrong). @ Aravind Shetty You say "Pls note that making "CHILD" is personal capacity of each human being and do not mix with religion or caste based. God gave some one high capacity and some one less. So totally it's personal choice whether u need 2 or 10. Mr Aravind Shetty, You are not aware that how much children our neighbor has also affects us. We may have one boundary around our house but we drink and use the common ground water. if you had the habit of peeping the well at your house when you were a small child and if you just see now. you will come to know that the ground water levels have gone deep down. You should also be aware that when the population increases the demand for food and arable Land also increases. Arable land is generally created by clearing forests. therefore an increase in agriculture will contribute to climate change. Because of demand for cereals the farmers tend to have more crops per season, overdoing the same Land reduces the soil quality and in turn the quality and nutrition of the cereals we eat.

China now has told each couple to have 2 children, since now they find with one child they cannot carry out the increasing economic activity. WHO has said that for each country to have replacement of population, 2.1 children are required. In India for each couple present children are Muslims 2.6, Hindus 2, Christians 1.8, Sikhs 1.7, Buddhists 1.6 and Jains 1.3. Life expectancy in 1947 was average 31 years which is 69.42 years in 2018. That means from 1947 to now on an average extra 38.42 years people are living. As far as all religions, women are less than men. and though some are having religiously allowed more than one wives, in other religions also, so many people are having concubines.

India has 2% of Land mass of this planet but 16% of the worlds population. we have to depopulate immediately. we also have to maintain demographic balances between communities. This need not be permanent after some years the policy can be reviewed according to the situations. we are excessive already. there is strain on arable Land and groundwater.

All 'Preferential Laws' should be stopped. No pick and choose as far as laws is concerned. For example: For marrying and having 4 wives your laws and for other things ..common law.It is not kind of a joke. This has to be set right.And having two children and so on for all communities. Not pamper one community so that they go on producing like biscuits. UCC is best solution. It is not like one community wears "uniform' and others follow civil code. All should be equal in front of law. Not more than equal.

A survey is required to know how many Muslims marry more than one and the same applies for people following others faiths. More wives more children, I do not understand the logic. Scenario 1: If 100 females marry 100 men, then each couple having 2 children, is equal to 200 children. Scenario 2: If 100 females get married to 25 men, and each woman produces 2 children, again it equals to 200. In Scenario number 2, at least all 100 females got the husbands, and in Scenario number 1, certain percentage will remain unmarried.

I do not think Muslim would get benefit in this because almost all government jobs in India are majority dominated jobs but only few percentage of Muslims got jobs in India and rest of the Muslims either business or abroad (specially gulf countries) and so called "polygamy", how many percentage of Muslims have more than one wife? I do not see in my village any Muslim man having more than one wife some other villages may have 1 or 2 percentage of Muslims practiced polygamy. Of course; poor, illiteracy, backward class & etc. etc, are the reasons having more than 3 children that does not mean only Muslims. Government could control the population in general not in particularly highlighting Muslims.
