State BJP Demands Governor's Apology

Kadur Sep 11 (PTI): Hitting back at Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj for seeking an apology from Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa over remarks on the illegal mining issue, ruling BJP today instead demanded that the former apologise to the people for "insulting" the chief minister.

"The governor has insulted the chief minister and there is no need for Yeddyurappa to apologise to him. Bhardwaj should apologise to the people for this," state BJP president K S Eswarappa said at an election rally here.

Eshwarappa said if the governor fails to do so, the party would chalk out protest programmes against him after the September 13 bypolls to two assembly constituencies.

Eshwarappa's outburst came in response to a strongly worded letter from Bhardwaj to Yeddyurappa on September 8, accusing him of using intemperate language against him over the illegal mining issue and demanding his apology.

What rubbish is this. Asking the Governor (a representative of the President) to apologise to a Minister ( who is actually a servant of the people).
BJP- is muscle power all you have.
If there is any disturbances, the Governor should dissolve the Assembly.

Most governors act as stooges of central government and as such don't deserve lot of respect.
