Karkala: Police raid illegal slaughter house, arrest five

Karkala, Jul 22: City and rural police, in a joint operation, raided an illegal slaughter house and seized 50 kg beef and lethal weapons at Durga Tellaru here on Thursday July 22.

Police have arrested five accused in connection to the case. They had been informed that the accused have been running an illegal slaughter house for a few years.

The accused used to bury the waste after digging pits, police informed.
