Mangaluru: Diamond rings on body stolen by mortuary security guard, recovered

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Aug 23: The diamond rings which reportedly went missing from the ears of the mortal remains of a person kept in the mortuary of a hospital at Bendorewell in the city have since been found by the Kadri police.

Harish Shetty (45), who was working as manager of the security department of a mall here, had breathed his last after suffering heart attack on Thursday. His mortal remains were preserved in the mortuary of the hospital awaiting arrival of a few close relatives. Even though the golden chain around his neck was removed, diamond rings in his ears were left untouched as it was found to be very hard to remove them. The relatives had planned to remove the rings during the funeral and had also informed the people in charge of the mortuary about this plan.

On the next day the security guard, when approached about the missing ear rings, is said to have feigned ignorance about the disappearance. Thereafter, Kadri police were informed. The police checked the CCTV footage and found that the guard had stolen the rings. It is learnt that thereafter he returned the rings to the family members of Harish Shetty.

Hospital manager said that the security guard concerned had joined for duty three months back and that the hospital management did not have any inkling that he would steal things like this. He said that the guard has been dismissed from service and that the hospital will extend total cooperation to the police investigation.

So as the name is not disclosed. Its obvious what we can expect. 1 Justify theft - process .Blame unemployment , demonetization, Corona vaccine handling of the current Govt . 2. Play victim card - process , law is targetting due to religion.

Even i had a bad experience with this particular hospital mortuary security . Our sorrowful times are the hunting time for these heartless ,some way they act as one of us and slowly change color aiming for money. May be closeness with dead bodies make them numb and emotion less.

"stolen by mortuary security guard" --- theft is confirmed through cctv footage... will it cause embarrassment if thief's identity is disclosed... photo of the thief with name should be published so that he is not hired again elsewhere...

You will be disappointed if the name is disclosed, then you start to justify his act with unemployment, lock down, demonetization, fake case, minority harassment !!!

Jossey when we leave hard-earned money with Maalaika Appliances on scheme its better to wear diamonds/ornaments instead of looting by others. At least its somewhat safe rather than invest in good returns.

Blade companies which are operating by announcing Halala Chit Fund where in money will be safe looted lakhs our peace loving people by showing slab of fake gold lying in there swimming pool. Many people lost there money in IMA scandal. Overnight there own people made them pauper with whom they kept much trust. As diamond rings returned to actual owner matter is almost solved. When will looted money by IMA will be returned to there investor...a big question mark arises..beyond doubt.
