Kundapur, Sep 1: "On the basis of Covid-19 positivity rate, weekend curfew will be imposed in Udupi district. Solution will be found after holding a high-level meeting," said district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.

He also said, "It is true that people are facing inconvenience. As positive cases are increasing, it is necessary to take precautionary measures. The issue will be discussed with the chief minister and health minister."

He was speaking to the media after holding a meeting with Social Welfare department officials here on Wednesday September 1.

He also said, "The chief minister has directed to hold a grievance meeting of Dalits soon. Earlier, the deputy commissioner and assistant commissioner were taking part in the meeting. Once in 6 months, the district in-charge minister should take part.

"As a few problems have come to my notice during the visit to the gram panchayats on Tuesday, a meeting has been conveyed with officials today," he said.

Relating to Morarji Desai School work, he said, "A project worth Rs 21 crore is ready, but due to issues regarding the site, the project is still pending. Hence the DC, DFO, tahsildar and other officers held a meeting. Within 15 days, the issue will be solved and the construction work of the building will be started."

Lockdown is not permanent solution.Lockdown will reduce the cases.Lockdown will not end the pandemic.People must wear mask, maintain social distance and avoid crowd and super spreading events should be prohibited for 6 months..If again Lockdown implemented, then poor and middle class people will suffer in terms of money and food and livelihood.Crowds should be restricted. In UK Australia France and MALAYSIA, 6 months lockdown happened, but still cases are very high..So lockdown is not solution.
