Bengaluru: Schools to reopen in all districts from September 6?

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Sep 5: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has said that physical classes will start for students of sixth, seventh and eighth grades in all the districts of the state from Monday September 6.

If the cases of Covid infections are low on Saturday and Sunday and positivity rate goes down below 2% in Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu districts, schools will start in these districts also.

CM Bommai spoke after having video conference with DCs of five border districts on Saturday about the Covid situation.

"Classes for students of ninth, 10th and PU are going on without any issues. Covid infections are less at present. From September 6, classes for sixth, seventh and eighth grades will also begin. Later, after assessing the situation, classes will begin for first to fifth grades," he said.

Last month, the government had given permission start physical classes for students only in districts where the positivity rate was less than 2%. As the positivity rate was more classes did not begin in the districts of Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu. Now the positivity rate is same in these districts. If the infections reduce on Saturday and Sunday, there is a possibility that permission will be granted to open schools in DK and Kodagu also.

DCs of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu, Chamarajnagar and Hassan took part in the video conference. CM directed the DCs to increase testing and strictly monitor the situation in their respective districts. He also specially instructed DC of Dakshina Kannada to increase the number of tests and also vaccination of public.

India entering biggest festive season from September to November & December in addition to high infection rates in bordering State. Most senseless decision under pressure of private schools & teachers. Interstate pvt buses have an interior route to enter aftergiving mamool 2k per trip in addition to fake RT PCR reports & fudged dates on reports.

This decision should be left to parents as there is advantage and disadvantage both way but schools should not force parents if they are not willing to send their children to school.

Not opening schools is just a scam to stop education..... No jobs ....... If schools are closed in the name of corona, parents will not send children to schools... Next generation will get affected.....If everybody is educated where are the people for other jobs.....? If everything is open why schools are not opened?

Only Kerala seems to be giving correct figures on number of covid patients. BJP ruled states are being for forced to give false figures far from reality. They are in a hurry to resume schools with selfish agenda in support of education mafia and experimentation on our children. The reality is grave and no child should be allowed to join school without a safe vaccination. There are long term side effects if a child is infected with or without symptoms. We just cannot go by the word of lying politicians. Safety of your child is top priority and refrain.

On one hand, BBMP insists vaccination certificate for office goers, Government is perfectly fine having unvaccinated and no plans of vaccination either to school going children? Economics of ferrying kids to school and back is understandable. But at what cost? Is this some kind of an adventure to fill those COVID beds kept ready in the pediatric wards of hospitals?

CM Ji better wait till dasara is over . Otherwise our DK MP, MLA & company will give memorandum to DC to give 10 days holidays for Dasara. ,next to celebrate dasara ...Next its better to stop all religious places form october till Jan.2022. Because sure December 22nd till Jan 2022 there will will be lots of dramas for lockdown. Automatically they will expect corona may rise . Because our MP ,MLA are astrologers So do not open schools till October end .

You are the same people who demotivated many people to get tested or take vaccination. If you are feeling so insecure pls lock your inside. People get covid even by sitting inside
