Mangalore, Oct 7: The 10-day long ‘Navarathri Utsav’, popularly known as ‘Mangalore Dasara’, will commence at the famous Sri Kudroli Gokarnanatha Kshetra on Friday October 8.

On the eve of the festivities, the route along which the procession will pass through at the end of the festival has been illuminated. With this, the city has geared up for Dasara festivities. Organizers found it easier to light up the roads as rain slackened in the city on Thursday October 7.

Final touches to the preparations are on at all the temples dedicated to the various incarnations of the Goddess. Many roads in the city have been illuminated.

Kudroli Temple and Mangaladevi Temple have been illuminated very beautifully.

Flags, billboards, and other publicity materials have been displayed at various places.

Dear Nithin Poojary, Mangalore/UK, why are you involving BJP and congress politics on this dussera occasion. As you told in gokarnath temple all the people donate to this temple irrespective of all the castes. Mr Ashok, Mangalore i also agree to your point to some extent.

    Mr. Ashok
Kudroli temple is getting donation from public irrespective of all religion, no govt money is involved in it. As far as i known you never commented while yeddi granting govt funds to mutts and temples, just because you support BJP.

Its indeed a pleasure in seeing this beautiful temple.
But the fact is that when there are so many people wanting food and shelter in a place like Mangalore, why can't Mr. Janardhan Poojary provide these basic needs to such people ? Govt. sanctions money for all these stuffs which goes waste. Its we the citizens of India who pay heavy taxes for such things which goes simply waste in the form of lighting. Lets have sympathy towards poor people. If there was equality to all, i mean extravagantly spending on these lightings as well as helping the needy then it was fine, but its the other way round. He does not spend on the needy but makes the Govt. santion heavily on lightings.
    Please think over it.
