Mangalore United Team Holds Victory Rally with All Pomp, Gaiety

Mangalore, Oct 9: Mangalore United team, the champion of the second edition of Karnataka Premier League held, recently held a victory rally with all pomp and gaiety in the city on Saturday October 9.
It is said that joy shared is joy multiplied. It is this feeling that was eveident as the team took out the rally traversing central areas covering the prime roads. The team played out to the gallery and shared their joy with people of the city as they travelled along the city in their four-wheelers.
The vehicular rally that was flagged off from the NIT - K grounds in Suratkal at 2.00 pm on Saturday October 9 moved through through Kottara, Lady Hill, Ballalbagh, PVS, Jyoti Circle and Hampankatta, before culminating at Nehru Maidan in the city.
The procession was inaugurated by priests of three religions. The rally was colurful with various teams of artistes and cultural groups accompnaying the buoyant players.
Further, the players of the team will also be felicitated and Mangalore United Cricket Academy will be inaugurated on the occasion. At 7.00 pm, a colourful programme is organized at TMA Pai Convention Centre here to mark the celebration.
The team that made the coastal region proud by bagging the championship, gives credit to its teamwork. The team that had lost its first three matches even after winning the toss came back with the bang winning the next three matches despite losing the toss.
