Bangalore, Oct 13: In a complete turn-around, Kolar Independent MLA Varthur Prakash has switched parties and decided to vote in chief minister B S Yeddyurappa's favour during the second floor test on Thursday October 14.
It is evident that state tourism minister Janardhan Reddy has had a crucial role to play in the new twist.

Addressing the media on Wednesday October 13 along with Reddy, Prakash said that Reddy had paid him a visit at his residence on Wednesday requesting him to extend his support to the CM, for which he gave his consent.
Asked why he had changed his stance all of a sudden, he reasoned that it was because of the scarcity of representatives from the backward classes in the government.
"In the interest of the state and stability of the government for the next two and half years, I have decided to vote for the BJP government," Prakash told reporters.
Varthur Prakash had thrown in his lot with JD(S) and was at the forefront of the oust-B S Yeddyurappa government campaign in the past one week, before returning to the BJP camp on Wednesday.
