Mangaluru City Corporation bags Best Practice Award for wet waste processing at household level

Mangaluru, Oct 12: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) bagged second place in the Best Practice Award 2019-20 hosted by City Manager's Association Karnataka (CMAK) in collaboration with Directorate of Municipal Administration for initiative on ‘Wet Waste Processing at Household Level’.

The award was handed over to Akshy Sridhar, commissioner, MCC at the CMAK's Best Practice catalogue release and award ceremony that was held on Tuesday October 11.

Along with trophy and the certificate, the MCC commissioner was also awarded as cheque of Rs 75,000.

“The credit for the award goes to all the Mangalureans who have been cooperative in managing their own wet waste in their households. We also acknowledge the role of various start-ups and organisations who have been the torch bearers in this drive and the entire health team of MCC who have been able to take the best practices to the people,” said Akshy Sridhar.

    I do not think the Pachanady issue is settled. On the whole Mangalore is a clean place than other places in the country.Why no photo of the FEKU on the certificate?

    Dunno now, but earlier MCC was said to be full of Waste Bodies. Waste management therefore might have been easy.

    Your tensions will continue even after 2024, Williams ! Ask some people here, we had a wager in 2019 also.. What happened ?? In any case Chacha and Co,have almost everything in the country .. named after them😎Why should some cerificates irritate you? My master is our PM right?

    Even after 2024 if he continues in same manner without any betterment for the country and its population, definitely tensions will continue. What is the use if a person in not able to deliver the goods.
