Kuwait: QAKCA Felicitates Winners of GVOM-2010 Gladys, Warren

Kuwait, Nov 6: October 22 was a joyous day for the Konkani Community, Ahmadi of Kuwait as Gladys Lorena won the 'Gulf Voice of Mangalore - 2010’ crown in the female category and Warren D’Souza won the runner-up award in the male category.

To congratulate the winners on their achievement, the Queen of Arabia Konkani Community of Ahmadi (QAKCA) organized a felicitation ceremony to honour the winners on Friday November 5 after the Konkani Mass.

Lawrence Pinto and Louis Rodrigues, the founders of the Gulf Voice of Mangalore attended the felicitation programme. Pascal Pinto (president)) welcomed the dignitaries and Fr John Harry D’Souza (spiritual director) presented a bouquet.

Gladys and Warren were felicitated with bouquets and mementos by Fr John Harry D’Souza. Addressing the gathering, he lauded the winners for their success at the competition and encouraged them to render greater involvement in the Church activities. He also mentioned that in the future Kuwait would continue participating and winning more prizes in various competitions.
