Mangalore Basketball Junior Club bags second place at state championship

Mangaluru, Nov 9: The Mangalore Basketball Junior Club (U18) secured the second place in the state junior under 18 category basketball championship.

The tournament was organized by the Karnataka State Basketball Association at Kanteerva Stadium Bengaluru from October 20 to November 7, 2021.

In the first three rounds of the tournament, the Mangalore Basketball Junior Club beat Pattabiramanagar Bangalore, Koramangala Bangalore and Brothers Bijapur respectively to reach the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals MBC beat Vimanpura Bangalore and secured its spot for the semi-final league.

In the semi-final league, MBC beat Beagles Bangalore and BCBC Bangalore but lost to DYSS Bangalore to secure the second place.

The DK District Basketball Association congratulates the MBC team for their fierce performance and securing the second place at the state basketball championship.
