Daijiworld Media Network - Kadaba (SP)

Kadaba, Nov 12: A person was arrested on Thursday November 11 by the Kadaba police under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. He has been accused of committing repeated sexual atrocities on a girl who happens to be his relative, over a period of 18 months. The girl is pregnant now.

The arrested person has been identified as Ramesh from near Pajovu in Kodimbala village. It is said that he used a girl for the last 18 months repeatedly for deriving sexual pleasure. The relationship came to light after the girl became pregnant.

Ramesh reportedly began visiting the girl at her home frequently from April 2020 onward. When the girl became pregnant, Ramesh is said to have threatened her not to reveal this information to anyone. However, after the girl fell sick, her grandmother took her to Kadaba community health centre where the doctors found during the check-up that she had become pregnant. She was then taken to Lady Goschen Hospital Mangaluru for additional tests where they confirmed that the girl was one and half months into her pregnancy.

After this was confirmed, the girl had complained against Ramesh.

Both are equally responsible and guilty of offence. Actually this wasn't a rape at all. But clear case of consensual sex for 18 months and only offence man had enjoyed sex with a minor girl against law.

There is no mention of age of the girl, if she is a minor then obivesly a criminal offence has happened, police will deal with the offender.
