Beltangady: Three arrested in theft case, items worth over Rs 13.75 lac seized

Beltangady, Nov 12: Police arrested three accused in connection with a theft case, reported on October 31 in Indabettu village in the taluk.

The arrested accused are Mohammed Swalhi (26), a resident of Navoor village, Yayha (32), a resident of Kuntini, Laila village, and B H Naufal (27), a resident of Navoor village of Beltangady taluk.

Police seized an Alto car, a bike and four mobile phones worth of Rs 1,69,500 and stolen 320 gram gold worth of Rs 12,05,200 and cash Rs 1,230. The worth of total seized items is about Rs 13,75,930.

Police registered a case under the section 454,380 of IPC. The arrested accused were produced before the court.
